TONY COLLINS  art + home
cool stuff for urban life
about us

Tony Collins was born in South Australia and grew up in England. He has traveled extensively around Europe, the Americas and Southeast Asia, and draws much inspiration for his oil paintings from these travels.

Art has always been an intrinsic part of his life. He became interested in drawing, painting and constructing at a very early age. He studied art, drafting, design, sculpture, metal and wood working at Wymondham College in East Anglia, England.

Although he enjoys working with a broad range of mediums including oil paint, charcoals, pastels, intaglio and screen printing, steel, copper, bronze, glass, wood and stone; his primary passion remains painting in oils.

In addition to working on art, he owns a metal design and fabrication studio with his wife, Holly Collins. He designs and makes just about anything someone might need that is made of metal, glass, wood or concrete - from bookends, screens, sofas, lamps and beds to staircases, custom store fixtures and more...

With a background in art and metalwork, and a keen eye for design that fits it’s function – Tony Collins’ creations are as distinctive and diverse as his talents, and his customer’s desires.

Tony Collins is also an avid sailor, racing his Olson 30, Laser, Flying Scot and Sunfish. He campaigns a Sunfish on the Texas Sunfish Circuit, as well as nationally, and internationally. He currently ranks 1st on the Texas circuit and 44th in the world. Tony is also the current Southwest regional Champion of Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska.

In 2007, Tony and Holly bought a retired Frito-Lay factory just south of downtown Dallas in an artistic neighborhood called The Cedars. After a year of renovation, they opened a gallery and shop where they create and sell a wide variety of home furnishings, accessories and lighting. You’ll find Tony’s artwork, as well as the works of emerging artists from the Dallas area. There is also a wide selection of gift and home décor items carefully selected to complement an urban lifestyle.
